As long-time readers of this blog (both of them!) know, I have little patience for Apple. It's not that I think they make bad products, it's that I think they mistreat their customers in the same ways other big companies have done (or continue to do), but enjoy an undeserved reputation for being innovative and customer friendly anyway.

I was talking with my grandboss the other day when I said "We use three different php frameworks at this company: Cake, Symfony, and Drupal, and the only one we haven't forked is Drupal." His immediate response was, "Wait a minute; drupal's not a framework!"
This isn't an uncommon occurence; for the bulk of its history, Drupal has been filed under "CMS", along with WordPress, Joomla, WebGUI, or Mambo. So what's wrong with that?

It's been a while since I've posted; having a baby has been awesome, but being a dad and having a full-time job leaves me without much desire to spend more time than necessary staring at glowing rectangles. So what issue can bust me out of my torpor? The iPhone "you're holding it wrong" debacle? The BP Oil Spill? Nope. The hubbub over the Delaware River Port Authority's Mike Joyce giving a free EZPASS to his daughter.
